Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew. These 2 were a nice pair to paint. This is another commission project that went with the Croak Hunters and Bog Trog Ambushers unit (those will come later).
Swamp Gobbers are from Privateer Press and are from the Hordes side, Minions models - meaning they will work with most other Horde armies. This is actually the second time I have painted this unit and I like this look better.
Hope you enjoyed that. Later this week I will have to get the Bog Trog Ambushers unit up, but until then I am going to paint something, you should too.

Ribbit Ribbet..
As promised here is another miniature update! This is not 1, not 2, but 3 Croak Hunters! The Croak Hunter is a solo minion for the Hordes side of Privateer Press. This commission was for 3 and wanted each one unique. So Instead of 3 separate blog posts, I will cover all 3 in 1!
Croak Hunter #1
Croak Hunter #2
Croak Hunter #3
Feeling froggy? I got 1 more for today and then off to paint more stuff! Later this week I will have 2 massive blog posts on a commission for the game Mighty Armies. Over 68 miniatures, 2 armies, 15mm! But that is later this week.

Death & Taxxis - NSFW!
Ok, I'm back! Got a monitor split set up going on. 1 monitor, 2 computers (a mac and a PC). First update is Death & Taxxis from Hasslefree Miniatures. Definatly NOT SAFE FOR WORK! I repeat::
NOT SAFE FOR WORK NSFW
Now I view this as art, as most of us I think, but there are those out there that can askew the difference and arguments abound, but I warned you, so here we go.
I bought this miniature years ago. When I first saw it, I knew I wanted to paint it, but I wanted it to look good so I waited. And I waited. Years later when cleaning out and rearranging my collection of unpainted, I came across this and decided it was time.
I did enjoy painting this one alot and I am glad I waited to paint it. I took my time with it as it was a personal piece and was very happy with the results. One more disclaimer and then the pics:
NOT SAFE FOR WORK!
Hope you enjoyed that one. I will have more updates later this week, hopefully Thursday I will upload some commissions Bog Trog Ambushers, Croak Hunters, and Swamp Gobbers Crew all from Privateer Press line Hordes.

Feburary Update!
So its been a while. My Mac (where I keep my pics of miniatures and stuff) monitor died and I dont really have room to hold 2 monitors anymore. So I must find a 1 monitor to 2 Computer convertor. Until then we have to settle for this update (sorry). I do have a lot of pics to show whenever I get that convertor, here is a list of things to look forward to:
Death and Taxxis from Hassle Free Miniatures - personal
Swamp Gobbers crew from Privateer Press - commission
3 Croak Hunters from Privateer Press - commission
10 Bog Trog Ambushers from Privateer Press - commission
3 Objective Markers from Privateer Press - personal
Demonkin Rogue from SodaPop Miniatures - commission
Its alot, and hopefully I can space them out over a week or two - whenever I get that convertor.
Also I received another commission that is going to be interesting. It is from Games Workshop from their Warhammer line. It is an old miniature, full metal. The Chaos Champion Egrimm Van Horstmann! A dragon with two heads (and two tails!). I painted this one once before a long time ago when I began painting miniatures a little over 15 years ago! Its going to be interesting seeing the final piece. When I painted my first piece I thought it was good and I was proud of it. Seeing what I can do now, it is a bit amateurish but still good. When I do finish this commission I will post a "then" and "now" pics to show the difference.
Until then, keep painting!

8 bit Dungeon!
Its finished! Finally! I was able to finish out the basics this past weekend, and I love it! If you remember I started this back in November. It was an idea I had when I ran across Fat Dragon Games and liked the simpleness of their dungeon design and build. I immediately thought of the old NES Zelda game, the dungeons. With Super Dungeon Explore on its way to my door I decided to get working on the design and build, and now here are some results.
In addition to the grey dungeon I thought why not make the colored ones too? Straight grey can be boring all the time. So I went to work on some different colors, the first of which is green. But before I could go all green, I had to make transition pieces so the dungeon could blend easily from one color to the other. Here I will show some grey/green transition pieces.
And here are some straight green pieces. Although I have no all green floors, my ink was all gone, you can get the basic idea here. When I do finally print out the different colors, I will be taking them to a printer (Staples) to get all printed up.
And finally we have some in game shots! These are from the recent Demo I ran for Super Dungeon Explore. I get into this game so much that sometimes I forget to take more pictures. The group loved it and so did I. I hope you enjoyed the pics.

And there are some in game pictures! As I stated before, I get into this game and forgot to take more pics, but it was getting good.
Well there you go, and I go...off to paint!
1" square pillars. These get inserted into the floor holes.
1" walls.
4" walls. Here you can see 2 different designs to break up the design.
2" walls. Again we have 2 different designs.
8"x8" floors. Holes open and ready for use.
8"x8" floors. Hole covers in use.

Although after building this up, I realized some of the grey/green transition pieces dont line up perfectly. This is something I will have to correct with the other colors before I build them.

Beginning the build. You can see where the posts placement is and where they will go. To the side you can see what I used to hold the walls and posts together: Bobby pins!
Well there you go, and I go...off to paint!

Mid January Update
I thought I would make an update, just to show I havnt been fooling around, or ignoring this blog.
I just finished Deth and Taxxis, a miniature from Hassle Free Miniatures. Pics are coming when I can get them later this week. It is a model I have had for about 5 years sitting around (I have a lot of those). When I bought it I wanted it to be painted up real nice, so I decided to wait until I got better to paint it. I think I am better than 5 years ago, and I think it turned out nice.
I am now currently working on 2 separate commission jobs. The first is 2 army lists for a game titled Mighty Armies. The second is a diverse group for Hordes from Privateer Press. Both of these combined should take me until the end of the month, depending on how much work (Overtime) is at my Full Time job.
And lastly I would like to state that every year I seem to compile a list of miniatures from different companies that I want to paint. Sometimes I have to buy them, other times I get them as gifts. I dont necessarily get to paint them, but I do eventually get to own them and hope to paint them at some time. Last years purchases are still mostly unpainted and I feel this years may stay that way too. But I thought here I would place a few I want and plan on getting.
I already own Super Dungeon Explore, and yet have to finish painting them all, eventually this will be done.
Ron&Bones, a pirate skirmish game from Tale of War Miniatures I just received a starter box and plan on getting some of the female pirates to paint.
Relic Knights from SodaPop Miniatures, another skirmish game anime style. I plan on getting at least 2 of these models.
Zombicide! a new game coming later this year published by Cool Mini or Not. A bit like Super Dungeon Explore, except zombies and modern "hero-types". Like a horror survival board game with over 70 miniatures! It looks great so far, and I love zombies/undead as much as I love pirates.
Kingdom Death miniatures has some GREAT pin-up type of miniatures for their game, I own 1 and would like more. I havnt painted that 1 yet, but again I will someday.
My Cryx army for Warmachine by Privateer Press needs to be completed, or at least more painted.
I want to work on my Cygnar and Khador army (also for Warmachine by Privateer Press). But those are both special projects that will have to wait.
And finally there are those random miniatures from random companies that I like the look of and have to buy it. Eventually it will get painted. But as a collector, I dont know when that is.
Like I said, just an update and random thoughts. So I go back to my brush and leave you for now.

2012, not the movie
Happy New Year!
ok got that out of the way. Welcome to 2012 everyone. I hope you all had a safe and happy celebration to ring in the new year, I definitely did.
This is a semi-resolution post update, or "things to come". What I plan on working on this year (or at least the next few months). Sometimes planning gets away from us, or new things come that we didnt expect to work on, or other bits of life get in the way. Most of these things I will do, some may take a while and others may get forgotten, but this is more of a what I plan to do list. Hopefully I can get to them all, but you know how that goes. *Like my Cryx army from Warmachine that I have yet to have fully painted over the last 3 years that I said I would because other things come along to do. I am working on it tho, last year I did more that the past years just need to finish bases and other things come along. Enough rambling, time for the list::
PAINTING::
Super Dungeon Explore! All the miniatures need painted (50+)
Legion of Everblight commission project (almost done- need pics)
Khador commission project (special I am only half involved in)
Mighty Armies commission project (
My own Cryx army (maybe I will get to finish it)
Cygnar
Malifaux characters (random bunches)
TERRAIN::
Wargaming (Warmachine/Hordes) Terrain:
Cryx-ifyed King of the Hill Terrain(with extreme mode)
Trenches
a "How to" series on various bases I have done
Cryx Tower
Cryx Harvesting tanks
Hills, walls, and other field terrain
RPG Terrain:
3D 8-bit Dungeon
Dungeon X (really How much longer can I delay its creation?)
More WorldWorks Games Terrain Dungeons
Dont know why I categorized them. Ease of lists I guess. So there we have some items I hope to complete soon, at least by this years end. There will be other bits I know, commission work, spastic purchases, etc. But this may help me get a bit more organized. In with the new...
HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2012 be more productive than last and may we keep on doing what we do, but better!
