Super Dungeon Explore Demo Dungeon

Super Dungeon Explore is a great fun game! I have said it before. Reminiscent of the 8-bit games of old, the folks over at Soda Pop Miniatures brings it to the tabletop with this game. Think Gauntlet back in the day, now add some chibi style miniatures and hours of entertainment.

The recent contest over at Soda Pop Miniatures gave me the motivation I have had for a while to build a 3-D Demo Dungeon for this game. As I am currently a member of Cool Mini or Not, Legion (the guys that run demos of games and represent the company at conventions and at LGS) I wanted to have a nice dungeon to demo the game on, something with pizzaz.  Here are the 5 pictures I choose to enter into the contest. More pictures will come later, including some WIPs.

It was a fun ride, and took about 3 weeks to complete from start to finish. Now I can get back to some painting as I have had another 2 minis added to my "TO DO" list.

Mid October Update!

Morning everyone. What a month so far, and it's been about a month since my last posting.

I am still alive, painting and building. Got a couple of projects in the works currently that will see posted near or at the end of the month. But taking a break right now to go thru the list!

1. The Mountain King. Large and in charge, the Trollblood Gargantuan from Privateer Press. Received him as a commission and I am doing him up right.

2. Super Dungeon Explore 3D Demo Board. Thats right, the guys over at Soda Pop Miniatures have a contest going on now and I cant wait to see the other entries. The contest ends Oct 31, so I gotta finish this one up as well.

3. Zombicide! The game is a blast, the miniatures are fun to paint. You have seen some survivors already, and I was planning on painting nothing but the zombies this month, that didnt go so well. But I am painting them between the others.

Well those are the big 3 projects currently. I also have a few Protectorate of Menoth army models from Privateer Press I received as a commission and another miniature or two I got for a second project. Both of these things I plan on working on in November, and done hopefully by Christmas. Ontop of working on my very own army that has been neglected for the past couple of months.

So in the future hopefully these will all make it up on this blog as well as a tutorial or two on base work. Thats all for now folks. Just a little motivation for me to keep going here and update myself and whoever is reading what I have been up to.

Zombicide Survivor Update - Phil and Doug

As seen earlier I have done 2 promo survivors for the game Zombicide! Nick Walker and El Cholo.
This post I have done 2 of the survivors that came with the game, Phil the Cop and Doug the Salesman.

There are 4 more survivors to paint up and a whole bunch of zombies. Most of the zombies will be painted up next month, in October, when I plan on having an undead painting month (we shall see how that goes).

El Cholo - Zombicide

Ok here is another survivor for Zombicide. This is El Cholo! Like Nick Walker, he was a promo figure given out during the Kickstarter campaign.

For his look I went for 'Machete' played by Danny Trejo - actually resembles the character alot.

Splintered Light Gladiators

Along with the Mighty Armies miniatures I received a small group of 15mm Gladiators. These are also made by Splintered Light Miniatures and for use for another game (the name escapes me at the moment).

There is 1 pic and it groups all 12 of the miniatures together. Gladiators battling in the sand.

Mighty Armies Undead Round 2

DingDing! Round 2 of the Mighty Armies commission. Another round of commissions finished, this one is for more of the 15mm Splintered Light MIniatures used for the game Mighty Armies. Again I will break this into 2 parts: the Undead and the Wood Elves.

This is Part 2 of the Undead. This round they bring some cavalry to the battle as well as a catapult.
