Little bit of IKRPG pt1

Welcome back! So apparently last year I was able to run some Iron Kingdoms Role- Playing Game (IKRPG) from Privateer Press. Amidst all that else I did as well, somehow I squeezed these sessions out for 2 months, at two different times of the year! So of course I needed some models for villains, and opponents to fight (as it is an RPG that uses miniatures like most do these days).
Into my closet I dug and found a few miniatures that were unpainted to be perfect for the part. Although there were a few unpainted too, but those will get done some day.

Lets take a look at those that made the cut:

Bishop
Although I did him up a few years ago as part of a crew for Malifaux, Bishop ended up being a villain in one campaign and an informant/allied in another.
He is pretty menacing looking, and I do love how his eye turned out through his hair.

Leviticus
Levi is another one from Malifaux, just sitting around, so I painted him up quick as a villain that was never reached, sadly the time got cut short for the one campaign. In the other he was a point of contact for the group as an odd funny old man, bit of an alchemist he was.

Barracuda
Loved this model. He is from a game called Ron & Bones, a company called Tale of War Miniatures. it was a pirate skirmish boadgame/tabletop. I never played, but I did have the box for the game thru an incredible find. Barracuda was perfect for a pirate villian, he was a duelist cutthroat and was damn good at his job.

The tattoos covering his body were all a beginning to my  freehand work, although I never finished his eyes (he wasn't a blind swordsman). He did his role perfectly, and wherever they see him in a campaign they take him out first now. Loved this model.

And those are just the beginning. Next week I will return with 3 other models I was able to use, and a warjack all bodged up for play! Until next time dear readers...

Battletech, Jade Falcon Clan

First post back and its a heavy one. A commission piece I did last year using the Battletech miniatures from Iron Wind Metals. The only plan, was uniform painting in the clan colors of Jade Falcon. Each of the bases were done using earth pigments from Secret Weapon Miniatures. The bodies painted using Reaper Master Series paints.

Flamberge

Kracken-XR

Mad Cat IV - Savage Wolf

Turkina

Jade Hawk (death from above)

These were a fun distraction from the usual size and type I am used to painting. The pigments on the bases helped blend the miniature into the base, making it feel more as one object. Overall definatly happy with how these turned out, but more importantly the client was happy.

Back in back

Well now, looks like almost defunct blog. Bet you thought I abandoned this thing...well almost. Its been a while, I have been busy.

Work, life, painting, work and I have been busy, a little too busy to update this on a regular basis. But lets try this again. I have a ton of pics to put up from the past year and hopefully I can keep it updated. We will see how long this lasts...

'Ere thar be Pyrates pt3

Arrrrrr, welcome back me harties. Continuing from last week, we take a look now at the Specialists for Freebooters Fate Pirates faction. Specialists bring a bit more variation to your crew, and cost a bit more to recruit as well. Lets take a look at some of them now:

Mono
I love this stance, he puts his best hand forward.

Long John
long, long range? yes please. a cockatoo? yes please.

Spitfire
Cant tell if the name is because of her gun, or red hair.
It may be best to not ask.

Crazy Perez
Technically she is a mercenary, but can be hired by Pirates.
And with a name like hers, and her abilities, I had to paint her
in fashion of my favorite DC comics characters.

So thar they be. This is not all the Specialist options, but the ones I have at the moment. When I get the others in they too will be painted and displayed. Next week, I will show off some of the Captains for the Pirates faction, possibly a surprise post for a recent commission.

Until then...

'Ere thar be Pyrates pt2

Welcome back reader, we continue this week looking at more shiny pirates from Freebooters Fate. This time, we are continuing on with a few more deckhand options to add to the force from last weeks starter. Deckhands are the fodder nice little additions that bring support to your captains and help ensure their victory. Lets take a look at some of them now::

Cuchillo #2
Another knife player, his skill is sharp.

Went for some tattoo work on half his face here, hard to see with this picture,
but the arm tattoos turned out great.

Pirate #2
This sultry lass thought it be fun to join the crew of pirates.

Matelot
We call him Fabio. Mostly because of his stance,
that and he can dance!
Matelots are armed with a pistol and a cutlass, a step up from your basic pirate
but the cost is the same to hire into your crew.

Tiradoro
More bang for yer gold.

Double handed heavy musket she carries, a cutlass just in case.
Her name be Tiradoros, shes got a tattoo on her face.

Arrrr. Few more deckhands for ya ta choose from. For the most part, the Pirates and Chullio have the same stats, just different models in case you want to run 2 of the same type of deckhands and not be confused upon activations. Matelot and Tiradoro also have a second model each, but I have yet to get them ordered.

That be all for this week maties. Next week we will look at some Specialist's for the pirate crew. Until then....
