Harbringer of Menoth-alt

So once again I have returned to post. This is for the Harbringer of Menoth, a warcaster for the Protectorate of Menoth army for the game Warmachine by Privateer Press. Following the previous alternate color scheme of purple and white, which was up to the client.

So in all her glory, with her attendants, here is the Harbringer of Menoth::

For now this is all I was given, and that concludes this alternate color scheme of Protectorate of Menoth. I will get more to do in the future, but first I have other commissions to do, like the Circle of Orboros starter and the Khador colossal, Conquest.

Until then I hope to see you back here and hope I inspire a bit.

Menoth alternate colors

So here we are again! This time I bring you a recently completed commission, some models from Privateer Press' line of Warmachine. These models are for the Protectorate of Menoth army. For these the client wanted a little off the typical studio color scheme and went with Purple and white with a gold trim. At first I was a bit put off by the colors, but it works well in this case, and I do like how they turned out. But more importantly, the client loved how they look, and he did!

Here we have a Revenger light warjack and the Choir of Menoth a max 6 man unit. Later on this week I will have the Harbringer of Menoth to put up here, but for now enjoy some pictures!

The touch of pink on the unit leader will be a theme on all unit leaders if/when I do more of this army. It is something the client asked for specifically and thats what they will get.

Currently I am trying to decide what base I want for the Minotaur of the Maze (Reaper Bones line), and working on a Circle of Orboros starter army that was part of the Hordes 2- Player starter box. A bunch of other models are sitting around on my desk as well, and get worked on here and there.

Until next time....

Kayzay Assassins & Demolisher Khador

Continuing on from the last Khador commission update, here is the Kayzay Assassins I was able to complete before Templecon. Life got busy (and by that I mean more commissions) so this is the first time I had to upload some photos.

But first we will take a look at the Demolisher from the same Khador army, for the same client! Typically the Demolisher's arms are separated just a bit, but the client wanted them together, ready to clear a path.

So there you have the Khador update. I quite like this color scheme, but my personal favorite is the black/red color scheme for Khador (someday I may get around to painting my own). Also, coming up within the next month you will be able to see the Conquest! The Khador Colossal join this army. I am excited to build and paint that big nasty guy, who knows I may do WIP shots if I remember.

Until then, I will be uploading some newly finished Protectorate of Menoth from another client. The scheme is purple and white, and they look quite different than what I am used to. I may even get to finish the Minotaur of the Maze from Reaper Bones line and upload him here as well.

I have Returned!

Back from Templecon 2013, and it was a blast!

As my first full blown con, I was taken in by the sights, sounds, and people of it all. I was able to hang out all weekend with the Cool Mini or Not guys and give demos of 2 of my favorite games, Zombicide and Super Dungeon Explore! I was also able to catch a demo of Sedition Wars and check out the Rivet Wars game! That I am super excited for. The models look fantastic and the rules are easy to learn, which will make it easy to teach to other players.

Although I did end up choosing on what models to take for Iron Arena (for Warmachine), I never did play a single game (let alone take some pics). There was a lot going on, and I ended up checking out the terrain and other peoples armies they brought with them, all the painted beauties everywhere. I was even fortunate enough to see the upcoming Archangel all painted up and fielded by the Privateer Press crew who were also getting in games with the fans.

Saturday and Sunday were great because more people showed up in cosplay as various steampunk characters. The costumes were elaborate and most quite unique. I enjoyed seeing them pass thru the halls or even various places thruout the convention. All the gamers, even the browsers, and the cosplayers, were all polite and friendly. A great community to be a part of and I plan on going back next year if I can.

OH I almost forgot 1 thing. I was fortunate to check out Games and Gears new double ended brushes! they look fantastic and I cant wait to put them to the test. If your interested they still have their Kickstarter Campaign going on now and ends Feb 22 at 5 am CST. If you want the quality brushes without paying for the name, these are the way to go. Check out the Kickstarter and at the bottom of the page are actual reviews from actual people, 2 of whom I got to hang out with this past weekend.

Man, I really loved this convention!

And now I am back home, unpacking my goodies and getting ready to do some painting. Hope everyone has a great week, and I plan on coming back here to upload some painted models for us all to enjoy!
