SQUEE like a Farrow pt3

Welcome back!

This post we continue our look into a past commission for a local player for his Farrow minion army for Hordes by Privateer Press. This week we are going to look at one of the newer units to be released, the Farrow Commandos!

Farrow Commandos

Although it was a 10-man pig unit box, only showing the basic non-duplicate sculpts here. The nice thing about these plastic unit boxes in plastic is that you can, with a little work, change the positions of the arms making a few adjustments so they don't all look the same.

Again, quick and easy paint jobs to get them on the table faster, and it works for these farrow.

Until next time!

SQUEE like a Farrow pt2

Welcome back!

Today we are continuing our look at a past commission, continuing from last post, at some Farrow models for the Minions faction for Hordes by Privateer Press. This week we will look at Thier big bad battle Engine, the Meat Thresher!

Measuring in at a 120mm base (as big as a DVD), this thing was massive

Meat Thresher

And there she is. The model is a mix of metal and resin parts, but painted up quite nicely after a prime coat. As with the other Farrow, the client wants quick and cheap paint job and colors to match the rest of the army. He was quite pleased with the addition of the crushing Legion member up front.

Until next time!

SQUEE like a Farrow pt1

Welcome back!

This post we are going to look back at a commission for another local player who loves his bacon, and Farrow army, for Hordes tabletop game by Privateer Press. Although Farrow are just one part of the Minions army, this client deals mostly with the piggy side and a few of the other solo minions.

Today, we will take a look at two of the lesser warbeasts, Battle Boar and Splatter Boar. Lets look!

Battle Boar

Splatter Boar

With the client on this army I have my free reign on colors and keep the army as uniform with skin and fur colors. As Minions are mostly ragtag guerrilla style of an army, the armors shown as if they loot the battlefield after bigger armies do battle so they have no real colors of armor themselves.

The other stipulation with the client is he prefers to have a painted force on the table, but not break his bank, so most of the army is a base color and mid-tone to that color. This is also why the details are not picked out and a lot of the same colors are repeated. On the plus side this allows me to get them done in quicker fashion and saves time.

Until next time!

Farrow Power

Welcome back!

Another week, another blog post update! This week is a short one, but covers two of the Farrow characters for the Minions army from Hordes by Privateer Press. These were another project completed last year, and just now getting around to posting.

Helga the Conqueror

Painted to a quick tabletop standard, this Warlock is ready for battle using some colors from Cygnar army.

Maximus

Maximus is a solo warrior that the client had his own base for. He also wanted the blood spewed everywhere, hence the gore splattered upon the...everywhere.

Currently, painting wise, I am working on the newest release for Minions, the Meat Thrasher! Although at the same time I am attempting to finish up some Stormcast Eternals for an Age of Sigmar game coming up. Also the  Hoarluk Doomshaper epic model, and...lol, you get the idea.

Until next time readers, keep them drybrushes dry, and the wet blends wet.
