Questing in Arcadia pt5

Welcome back readers!

This week we look back into a few more figures for Arcadia Quest that I completed last year. The first two are commission pieces for a fellow player, and the last one, Maya, is part of my collection for the game. Lets take a look:

Hassan

Zahra

Maya

With most of the Arcadia Quest figures I am still trying to perfect the Non-Metallic Metal style without it looking too cartoony. It still works, but needs to get better. These models are as fun to paint as they are to play the game with and I hope to be able to get to more this year.

Until next time!

Questing in Arcadia pt4

What a crazy last two weeks it has been, we had our first snow storm BLIZZARD of the year (30" here), multiple projects started, and tons of extra hours in at work. And the extra hours continue for a while I am told so I decided to do this weeks update a day early. This week will wrap up the Questing in Arcadia series for now, more will come later after I paint a few more figures-most from the retail release box. Next week we will take a look at a starter box from Dark Age, the retail box (plus some) from Robotech, and possibly reach the newest from Zombicide Black Plague! A handful of random other miniatures, and possibly some terrain is also in the works but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Onto Arcadia Quest!!

Schmetterling

While he is not a hero, he sparked my interest as the first monster to be painted. He dubs as a Troll minion or the troll boss, Schmetterling!

Sonja

There we have it, the last 2 figures painted up from Arcadia Quest for this series. Its a great game as I may have mentioned before. Really enjoyed playing it and painting the figures. The rest will come painted up later this year (hopefully).

Until next time.

Questing in Arcadia pt3

Welcome back readers!

Another week has gone by and here on the east coast of USA we are expecting our first snow storm of 2016! Excited really; I have paints, miniatures, and food at the ready so I am good for a while. Let's begin by taking a look at some more painted miniatures from Arcadia Quest!

Prince Aaron

Viktor

Another two down, and I think I only have 2 more at the ready at the moment. But not to fear, I still have other projects ready to show, and after this current project I am working on, will begin somemore Arcadia Quest heroes. Until next time readers...

Questing in Arcadia pt2

What. A. Week. Gotta say it has been one roller coaster of a ride for the world. First we lose David Bowie, then the US Lotto hits a record 1.5 BILLION dollars, and then Alan Rickman passes. While I didnt hit the lotto, I know I will miss Bowie and Rickman but their memories will live on through their performances on film and music. Rest in peace dear sirs, knowing you were appriciated.

Now continuing on to our Questing in Arcadia series, I have two more painted heroes to show you. Enjoy!

Montoya

Hitch

And that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I have painting them. And next week I will be back with more heroes for this fun game. Until next time!

Questing in Arcadia pt1: Leeroy and Nibbles

Welcome back readers!

Today we are going to take a look at a few miniatures from Arcadia Quest. An excellent board game released back in 2014 from Cool Mini or Not, that consists of some Player vs Player vs Event action and some superb miniatures done in the chibi anime style much akin to Super Dungeon Explore.

The miniatures are what drew me to the game, and eventually the game play took over from there. With the Kickstarter adding more heroes than the 12 from the base game and some expansions along the way, you could have a different game every campaign. Did I mention it was a campaign style game as well? Between each chapter (or session if you prefer) you can buy items, spells, and/or equipment for each of your heroes for the next chapter. Much like an RPG boardgame, this game is very fun.

So this week we will take a look at two of the random heroes I painted up. Painting this style is a nice change to the normal way I paint, different techniques and usually quicker paint job.

Leeroy

Nibbles

I did say two right? Over the next few weeks we will look at a few I have finished before being swept into another game. I didnt even get close to finishing them all, someday I hope to.

Until next time!
